The idea behind this project is to revive something that grandparents used to make for their grandchildren: wooden toys, hand-crafted at home, ecological toys, which with time take on an unforgettable sentimental value. Livo is a freshwater fish: a carp. Its form is clean, smooth and organic. It comes in the warm tones of cedar wood, which keep its scent over time.
The names for all of Internoitaliano’s objects are a tribute to minor Italians towns and villages, those that are rarely celebrated, but nonetheless are just as real and representative of a suffused and authentic national identity. Livo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy.
He was born in Uganda EAU in 1988. He came to Italy at the age of 7, back to his parent’s hometown, Bassano del Grappa.
In 2010 he holds a bachelors degree in industrial design from IUAV in Venice. In 2011 he moved in Milan where he started a collaboration with Giulio Iacchetti design studio. From the same year he attended product design scholarship for innovation at Politecnico di Milano. He had an internship in London at Morph’s studio.
