This pure linen table cloth has been hand-printed using the particular “rust”. The pattern was inspired by the city squares in the province of Emilia Romagna, where bicycles leave their ephemeral imprints as they pass from puddles to dry pavement.
The names for all of Internoitaliano’s objects are a tribute to minor Italians towns and villages, those that are rarely celebrated, but nonetheless are just as real and representative of a suffused and authentic national identity. Lugo is a town and comune in the Emilia-Romagna region.
Leonardo Sonnoli, graphic designer, is the Italian president of the Alliance Graphique Internationale.
In 2011, he was awarded the Compasso D’Oro prize.He worked for La Biennale di Venezia, Château des Versailles, François Pinault Foundation, Abet Laminati, New York Times, SNCF and Artissima. He taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and at Iuav University of Venice; he is now teaching at the Isia of Urbino. He is senior partner of the Tassinari/Vetta graphic design studio and he writes for Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper. He lives and works in Rimini.
Irene Bacchi, graphic designer, holds a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts Urbino and a degree from the Iuav University of Venice.
Since 2009, she has worked with Leonardo Sonnoli at the Tassinari/Vetta graphic design studio. She designed artistic installations like “Heidelberg Speedmaster” at the American Academy of Rome and “Cataloghi” – work with the Abake – at the Querini Stampalia Foundation of Venice. She was selected for the Adi Design Index 2013, at the Festival of Chaumont 2012 and for the Aiap Women in Design Award 2012 and. She lives and works in Rimini.
