Seat made of painted steel rod available in different colors, with and without armrests. Thin and light but at the same time welcoming, Irma is the first Internoitaliano seat intended for outdoor spaces.
The project was born with the aim of minimizing the elements that compose it to ensure comfort, visual lightness, essential design and contemporary aesthetics.
The clear graphic sign that distinguishes it, almost as if it were just a profile, a shadow, makes Irma a silent presence that almost blends in with the surrounding environment and for this reason it is suitable for all outdoor contexts: terraces, courtyards, gardens.
Historically, the outdoor seats were made of metal rod, with swirls and curves typical of the floral art of the early 1900s. Irma is inspired by that tradition by working, as always with the pieces in the Internoitaliano collection, to re-contextualize those elements of the history of furniture, through a design that respects history and at the same time generates new forms harmoniously combined with our contemporaneity.
The proper names chosen to name InternoItaliano objects are a tribute to towns and villages belonging to a minor Italy, never celebrated, but equally real and representative of a suffused and authentic national identity. Irma is an Italian town of 129 inhabitants in the province of Brescia, in the upper Val Trompia, in Lombardy.
