Pear wood lead sharpener. A refined object, thanks to its forceful form: the surprise is the lack of the classically inclined plane on which to attach the blade. The unit looks like a perfect wooden block with a single hole on one side into which to insert the lead. A special hollow makes room for the blade, and also collects the graphite powder, preventing it from scattering on the desktop. The names for all of Internoitaliano’s objects are a tribute to minor Italians towns and villages, those that are rarely celebrated, but nonetheless are just as real and representative of a suffused and authentic national identity. Roggia Rino is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Cremona in the Italian region Lombardia.
