The Dorica ceramic tableware collection, designed by Mario Scairato and Alessandro Stabile, is a project dedicated to a particular Italian territory, Cilento, that is Campania, in the province of Salerno which sees the city of Paestum as its fulcrum.\nNot only a territory steeped in history, but also a very rich agri-food culture (land of buffalo mozzarella, pasta makers, excellent primary agriculture) and a world-renowned ceramic tradition such as that of Vietri sul Mare, a bulwark of the Amalfi coast a few km north of Paestum.\n\n

\nThe hand-made enamelling is available in six bright colors chosen in line with the local ceramic tradition. Robust, concrete and colorful, Dorica dishes are created for the everyday table, with a thought to the atmosphere and “warmth” of southern Italy.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mario Scairato lives and works between Milano and Paestum, the city where he comes from.<\/p>\n

He graduated in Industrial Design at the IUAV\/Universit\u00e0 della Repubblica di San Marino in 2011. From 2012 che collaborates wih Giulio Iacchetti as a product and graphic designer, developing projects for Nike, Savinelli, Comieco, Nodus, Niasca Portofino, Surfer\u2019s Den. From 2015, as a freelance, he designed for Alessi, Bear, Cotto Manetti, Internoitaliano, Moleskine.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Alessandro Stabile<\/a><\/h2>

Born in Milan, 1985.<\/p>\n

Alessandro is one of ten \u201cTop Young Italian Industrial Designers\u201d selected by the Italian Cultural Institute of New York in 2013. In 2011 he founded his design studio specialized in product design, furniture design and art direction.
\nIn 2016 two of his ideas won the first and the second prize of \u201cYoung&Design\u201d Award as best projects of Milan Design Week designed by an under35 designer.<\/p>\n
